Sylvia has been with Pima Heart & Vascular since prior to the merger with Tucson Heart Group in 2020. She is currently the Primary Medical Assistant to Dr. Basel Skeif at GSO. She played an instrumental role in ensuring a smooth transition during the merger. “It was challenging, but we all worked together to make the merger a success.”
Sylvia worked with Tucson Heart Group for approximately 6 years, before the 2020 merger took place. She was formerly employed by PHV from 2005-2008, then moved onto other opportunities, but always as a Medical Assistant 
working in the specialized field of Cardiology. Sylvia has now come full circle and back in the fold. “I’m certainly impressed with the progress we’ve made.”
How would you describe your time at Pima Heart & Vascular?
“I enjoy working with my manager Carolyn Huerta, colleagues, our physicians and especially our patients. I try to help in any way possible. If any one of my colleagues needs my assistance, I am always willing to help.”
If you could choose any other career, what would you do?
“I have found my field of endeavor, but I’m always willing to move up and assume more responsibility. What I do allows me the freedom to do other things, as well.”
Anything else you would like to share with your Pima Heart & Vascular family?
“I enjoy spending time with friends and family and planning for special times together. Then again, anytime I’m with friends and family is super special to me.”
