“Clichéd as it may sound, I try to treat every patient the way I would like my family treated. My specialty, cardiac electrophysiology, depends on the use of some the most advanced technologies in medicine today. However, I believe that listening to what a patient has to say is still the most important part of what I do every day. From the teenagers to centenarians that I see, no two patients are alike. Understanding the differences allows me to create a treatment strategy that makes sense for each individual patient.”

“I feel fortunate that my career allows me to do something I truly enjoy on a day to day basis. While practicing medicine requires a lot of sacrifice and can seem all-consuming at times, my beautiful wife, two children and two step-children keep me grounded and balanced.”

“I am so blessed Dr. Decena was at the emergency room when I went there. He is a wonderful doctor. I’m sure if it was not for him I would be dead. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.”
